ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQY) – An area in Bernalillo County commonly known as May officially get the name “Sandia Ranch”.
The county is proposing to officially rename the land located at 6915 Edith Blvd. According to NE County, the name “Sandia Ranch” first appeared years ago when there was a tuberculosis sanatorium there. The property is currently vacant, but part of it is planned to become a neighborhood park and a trailhead The county says other plans for the property include building the Albuquerque Sign Language Academy.
