ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – One of three men accused of killing two teenage brothers last year took a plea deal Thursday. In January 2023, a 15-year-old and a 14-year-old were murdered in a mobile home community near Atrisco Vista and I-40.

Mario Lange, Marissa Lopez and Queerida Lovato are accused of setting up a drug deal with the intent to kill one of the teenagers for an allegedly stolen gun. Lange pleaded guilty to first-degree and second-degree murder, as well as conspiracy charges. As part of his plea deal, he faces up to 36 years behind bars because he was 17 at the time of the shooting.

Both Lovato and Lopez have pleaded not guilty to their murder charges.
