Hope Christian High School students are helping residents pay for their laundry

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (KRQE) – Students at Hope Christian High School getting involved With love to the national non-profit Laundry.

On the first Friday of each month students go to Coors and Sage All Washed Up laundromats in the South Valley. They walk around and ask someone if they need help paying for their laundry. “Last month we helped about 40 people which is our average of about 270 people,” said Hope Christian High School senior Judy Kuykendall.

They need it To raise money So that they can continue the Laundry Love mission, ‘Brightening people’s lives through love, dignity and detergent.’ Kuykendall said they’ve raised about $3,500 so far, but need to double that to continue over the summer.

The next event is Friday, April 5. They will be at the All Washed Up Laundromat from 5pm to 7pm
