Zoe’s Tuesday morning forecast

After a strong storm system impacted the state yesterday, more active weather is on the way today. This morning is much quieter than yesterday morning with only a few snow flurries across the highest elevations of the Gila and North Mountains. The Gila will see the most action this morning, before widespread low-elevation rain/storms and high-elevation snowfall begin. More hail, graupel and thunderstorms are possible this afternoon before drier air arrives overnight.

The storm system will exit by Wednesday, bringing much drier and sunnier weather beginning tomorrow. Temperatures will rise by a few degrees before westerly winds arrive on Thursday. Westerly winds will bring low-slope warmth to eastern and central New Mexico starting Thursday, with the warmest weather of the year expected Friday.

Average temperatures will begin Friday and continue through the weekend. Winds will begin to pick up from Saturday, with windy weather arriving Sunday before another storm brings more active weather early next week. Enjoy a few days of warm, spring-like weather this weekend/weekend while they’re here!
