ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A federal trial is underway for a man accused of shooting his wife at an Albuquerque Walmart. According to witnesses, Morris Lacey walked into the Walmart on Cutler near San Mateo in 2022 and went straight to the employee break room.

Lacey’s wife, Kenisha Wilson, worked at Walmart and witnesses said he shot her in the back of the head and accused her of having an affair. Law enforcement said Lacey threatened another employee in the room before walking to the customer service desk, placing a gun on the counter and telling the employee he had shot his wife.

Lacey was charged with felon in possession of a firearm. If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in federal prison.
