LAS CRUCES, NM (KRQE) – New Mexico State University is looking for another high-ranking administrator. In a letter to the NMSU community, Provost Alan Shohoe said he had decided to retire at the end of the semester but instead gave up his position. He has been in this role since last April.
His departure comes as the school continues its search for a new president. The Board of Regents resumed that process earlier this month, saying the five finalists for the job “did not meet the needs of New Mexico State University at this critical juncture.”
